LOGOS is a group at IBC for young adults (post high school-35 yrs.) seeking to grow deeper in their faith through meaningful discussion and fellowship. We meet on the last Saturday of each month from 7–9 p.m., with the location varying each month. Our time together is spent reviewing and discussing the weekly sermons at IBC, allowing us to reason through Scripture and apply God’s truth to our daily lives.
The name “Logos” (λόγος) is significant. While it translates to “word,” it carries a deeper meaning:
- Reasoning & Understanding – Logos represents not just words but the process of reasoning, which is at the heart of what we do—discussing and working through Scripture together.
- Jesus as the Logos – In John 1:1, “In the beginning was the Word (Logos), and the Word was with God, and the Word was God,” we see that Jesus is the Logos—the divine reason behind all creation.
- Keeping Our Focus on Christ – Because Jesus is the Logos, everything we do in this group ultimately points us back to Him.
- A Connection to Colossians 3:16 – The word Logos is found in our theme passage:
“Let the word (logos) of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another…” (Colossians 3:16)
At LOGOS, we strive to live out Colossians 3:12-17, growing in kindness, humility, patience, forgiveness, and love as we encourage one another in the faith.

We’d love for you to join us as we seek to dwell in the Word and grow together in Christ!
